Blouse in all-over printed cotton voile. The "blue iris" motif on an ecru background, exclusive to Emile et ida, is block printed. This is a traditional Indian printing technique using carved wooden blocks. Block print fabrics age well but it is normal that the pattern loses a little of its intensity with each wash. This technique allows a return to craftsmanship and the appreciation of the manual gesture. When you say manual, you say imperfection. Indeed, we find an irregular and imperfect side to the patterns, which also brings authenticity to the product. We also like the delicate graphics and the shade of beige with touches of glittering gold. We like the crew neckline, the small flat collar and the bottom sleeves finished with a frilly picot stitch hem. This finish is made like an embroidery, by forming tiny knots that separate the threads of the fabric. It is a meticulous work, which can sometimes present some slight irregularities.
The cuffs and blouse are fastened with natural mother of pearl buttons.
